1. Free download registration
For first-time STARR TUNE download registrations, we collect your name, phone number and email, the terms/privacy versions you accepted, and the registration time. This supports download records and customer support. The separate update installer page does not ask you to register or submit your name, phone or email again. The form has a separate, unchecked option for email updates. Downloading does not opt you into marketing emails or texts; we do not send marketing texts through this flow.
2. Purchases and donations
Stripe handles card payments in its hosted checkout. We receive the payment reference, amount, status and purchaser email. We do not receive or store your full card number. License records connect a key, and the plugins it covers, to its verified purchase. STARR COMPRESSOR, STARR EQ, preset pack and bundle purchases also connect a download code to the verified purchase and your purchase email. A complimentary key is connected to the email address it was issued to. STARR TUNE donations are separate from free downloads. Stripe also processes information described in its Privacy Policy.
3. Activation
STARRBABY VOX, STARR EQ, STARR COMPRESSOR and STARR EFFECT send the license key and a hashed computer identifier to check activation. Raw hardware identifiers stay on your computer. When you choose browser activation, the browser returns a signed response to a short lived connection on your own computer. No audio or project files are sent. The plugin stores the verified activation locally for offline use.
4. Updates and website requests
Update checks request a product specific version file and send normal connection metadata. They do not upload audio, project content or your license key. You can disable automatic checks. The website hosting provider handles ordinary request information such as IP address and browser information. Our plugin pages add no advertising trackers. After checkout, a temporary receipt token is stored in this browser tab so you can retrieve your license if you refresh the page. It is cleared when the tab session ends and is not used for advertising.
5. Service providers and security
We use Railway for hosting and database storage, Stripe for checkout, and Resend for transactional license and download emails. We use access controls, HTTPS and signed activation records. Rate limits store hashed request identities temporarily. No system can be guaranteed free from every security risk.
6. Retention and your choices
We keep purchase/license records to operate your license and meet applicable accounting requirements. Free download registrations are kept for support and any email updates you separately requested. Contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal from optional email updates. Some purchase records may need to be retained where required by law. We do not sell these registration records.
